The 9-12 Academic Quiz Bowl is a double elimination tournament between teams of six members and as many alternates as the school wishes. Each round is comprised of twelve questions. Each school district in the ESU 10, eleven county area is invited to participate in the event and permitted to bring one team on Monday, March 23rd, 2026. Registration Deadline: February 23rd, 2026. You must have your students registered on the ESU 10 Student Activities Website, along with the lunch tickets and parking passes needed by February 23rd, 2026 or your team will not be allowed to compete the day of the competition. NO EXCEPTIONS! Registration fee: $25 for HAL Consortium Schools; $100 for non-HAL Consortium Schools.
The winning team, and runner-up will qualify for the State Academic Quiz Bowl competition hosted by Educational Service Unit 9 in Hastings, Nebraska on Monday, April 20th, 2026. Additional information will be provided following qualification.
March 23rd at the UNK Nebraskan Student Union:
Registration the day of the event: 8:30-9:00; Competition begins at 9:00.
Lunch: Served in the UNK Nebraskan Student Union commons area at a cost of $10.54 per person (approx.). ESU 10 will bill each school district for the lunch tickets.
Cancellations not received 1 week in advance and no-shows will be billed.
